Home-baked Traditional Bread Loaves

Our famous home-baked bread loaves were the first items we offered through the Kestano Co-op and remain a favorite. These loaves are made using an ancient Italian method that has been in use for centuries - we let the yeast ferment and rise for almost 24 hours before baking in a covered cast-iron pot, producing a peasant-style daily bread with a crunchy, textured crust and savory, airy crumb.
