What is EcoDater?
EcoDater is a fast-growing virtual community of eco-friendly men and women looking for companionship in all its forms. We at EcoDater are dedicated to providing you with the tools and resources you need to find other members of the EcoDater community and make new connections.
EcoDater History
We started EcoDater as a way for people who share our passions and interests to meet online and form a virtual community beyond the physical limits of the real world. There are EcoDaters everywhere, all with valuable knowledge and wonderful gifts to share, and the digital age makes it possible for us to meet and connect without traveling great distances.
Anyone who's spent any time on dating sites knows that many are inauthentic in their tactics and manipulative in their treatment of members. EcoDater is our response and attempt to embody the best of human nature - the benevolent, community-oriented side. We work from home and are the farthest thing from a corporate organization as you can get. We're out every day acting on our principles, and what you see in EcoDater is what you'd see in us.

Who are EcoDaters?
EcoDaters are unique and often fascinating people, yet all share something in common – a principled desire to live closer to nature. As diverse as nature is itself, so too are the diverse interests and pursuits of EcoDaters – from vegan and raw food devotees to hikers and bikers, from animal rights activists to organic farmers, yoga practitioners, holistic doctors, herbalists and everyday people who are conscious of their environmental impact… all are passionate and dedicated to making this world a more harmonious place.
The EcoDater Community
We’re constantly looking to improve the site and make it work better for you. We won’t ever release a new feature or make big changes to the site without getting your input first, on our EcoDater blog. We invite you to contribute in any way you’d like – by simply creating a profile and contacting other members personally, by posting comments to our blog, or by suggesting a link for our links page. You can also send us an email anytime.
EcoDater Membership
We offer a completely free membership program that lets you create a profile and upload a photo, search for EcoDaters and contact other free members. You can upgrade anytime to a premium level of membership that lets you post more photos, contact more EcoDaters, use advanced search and EcoMatch, and more. Premium members are also eligible for our monthly prizes that include gift certificates and products from eco-friendly partner retailers.
EcoDater Links & Blog
We maintain a comprehensive links section with links to eco-friendly products, topics, and issues on the web. Our EcoDater blog is updated frequently and is a great resource for fresh news in the eco-friendly world, with all content handpicked by in-house staff.
TreeMail
When you register, you can sign up for TreeMail, our bi-monthly newsletter that announces new features and developments on EcoDater.com and within the EcoDater community, as well as highlights from our blog and links section. You can also sign up after you register on your Account Details page.
Charitable Contributions
We donate a portion of all our membership revenue to charitable organizations that represent the interests of our community. Legal issues prevent us from naming the organizations to which we contribute, but please get in touch with us if you'd like to know more or have a charitable organization you’d like us to support.
